Athlete

Athlete é uma banda inglesa de indie rock formada em Deptford, Londres; Formada por Joel Pott (vocais/guitarra), Carey Willetts (baixo/vocal), Stephen Roberts (bateria/vocal) e Tim Wanstall (teclados/vocal). Recentemente, eles recrutaram Jonny Pilcher para tocar guitarra. Amigos desde os 14 anos de idade, tiveram grande influência de Grandaddy e The Flaming Lips. Gravaram com o selo Regal Recordings seu primeiro single em fevereiro de 2002 ; mas a banda só se revelou mesmo em 2003, com o álbum ''Vehicles and Animals'', que 'popularizou' a banda com as músicas "You Got the Style" e "El Salvador". O álbum vendeu mais de 250000 cópias. Recomendo muito.
