The Dandy Warhols

The Dandy Warhols é uma banda de rock americana formada em Portland, Oregon por Courtney Taylor-Taylor (vocal, guitarra), Zia McCabe (teclado), Peter Holmström (guitarra) e Eric Hedford (bateria). O nome do grupo é um trocadilho com o nome do artista pop Andy Warhol. São fortemente influenciados por The Velvet Underground, Beach Boys, Simon and Garfunkel, The Beatles, The Shadows, The Rolling Stones, the Cars e The Brian Jonestown Massacre, também podemos notar referências a My Bloody Valentine, em algumas de suas canções. O novo CD da banda foi lançado este ano e se chama “Earth To The Dandy Warhols”; ele só ratifica ainda mais todos os rótulos já dados à banda. A convivência entre bateria, batidas eletrônicas, guitarras, teclados e a ironia/deboche continuam sendo a tônica no Rock desta banda.
