The good, The Bad & The Queen

The Good, the Bad & the Queen é uma banda de Brit-Rock, constituída por Damon Albarn (Blur e Gorillaz), Paul Simonon (The Clash), Simon Tong (The Verve) e Tony Allen (Fela Kuti). O nome da banda remete ao faroeste da década de 1960 (The Good, The Bad and The Ugly) e seria, inicialmente o título de um disco solo de Albarn, porém mais tarde foi anunciado que o projeto solo foi descartado e o nome seria utilizado pelo quarteto. O auto-intitulado disco de estreia do grupo foi produzido por Danger Mouse, da dupla Gnarls Barkley, que já havia trabalhado com Albarn e Tong no disco "Demon Days", do Gorillaz. As letras de suas canções tem como tema principal a vida moderna em Londres. É um disco simples; traz uma mistura entre o pop inglês, jazz, hip hop americano e batidas africanas; resultando em melodias muito harmoniosas. É logicamente um trabalho feito por músicos maduros e bem conceituados. Em resumo, vale a pena conferir.
