Spoon

Spoon é uma Banda de Indie Rock de Austin, Texas. Formada em 1993 por Britt Daniel (vocal/guitarra) e por Jim Eno (bateria). Na sua formação original contava com a participação de Greg Wilson e Andy McGuine nas guitarras. O seu álbum de estréia foi alvo de criticas e repercussões, pois houve citações comparando o som da banda com o Pixies, já outros afirmavam que o Spoon apresentava sinais de um som livre de influencias que mistura o pós-punk com o pop. Quando lançaram o segundo álbum, “Soft Effects”, serviu como um renascimento do estilo da banda, esse novo álbum revelou a excêntrica qualidade e afinação minimalista dos integrantes, até então desconhecida por muitos. O Spoon fez uma das melhores apresentações no Planeta Terra Festival, lotando o Indie Stage e mostrando o melhor do rock alternativo que eu pude acompanhar de perto. Os caras mandaram muito bem, e mesmo sendo no horário do show do Offsrping não sobrou espaço vazio na pista!
